Funeral was today at 11.15. Gary and Susan followed immediately behind the hearse and James and his family followed behind them. We took a slow drive to Seven Hills Cemetery, but as daughter-in- law Vanessa said it was kind of a magical drive even though a few tears were shed. Once at the cemetery the small gathering of mourners awaited the arrival of the coffin which was followed by Gary ,Susan, Matthew and James. Rachel the funeral celebrant welcomed us all and really held a lovely service for us. The great grandchildren were invited to light a candle in his memory, each one had a lovely butterfly keepsake with their name on. A picture of this is in the photo section of the gallery . At the end of the service we were given a lovely keepsake booklet made by Rachel of the service, photos of this will follow. As Susan’s sister said “ it was a lovely little funeral” Thank you to those who attended Gary and Susan We also wish to thank the Co-op Funeral Service and Rachel the Celebrant for making the day a special one in Geoff’s memory.

My dad, The hardest working man I’ve ever known, nothing ever came easy to him and being who he was I don’t think he would have would have wanted it any other way ,he really loved to work . He was a perfectionist in whatever he was doing, whether it was plumbing, decorating, gardening it had to be just right . He also had a bit of a short fuse , not the sort of man to get on the wrong side of LOL. As my father he was always there for me if I needed help of any kind , for that I will always be grateful. His son Gary
